Take now thy son. Genesis 22:2
Ok. So it's kinda short. But I have a point.
When God asks us to do something, He asks us to do it now. As they say, delayed obedience is disobedience. It's funny how we try to debate with God or try to buy some time whenever He asks us to do something. I tried to divert attention from doing this devo myself. There is no later when it comes to His will, and whenever we rationalize to put things off, then the sacrifice becomes lesser.
Abraham followed God on the spot. When God asked him to sacrifice his son, Isaac, he did it right away--no questions asked. It's actually very simple for him. He just did what he was told, not because of blind faith but because he knew God had a plan. He didn't ask for advice from anyone else for what he was asked to do, because God message was clear and distinct. There are times that we get paralyzed by asking too many questions when the message is already clear. "Paralysis of analysis," as they would say.
"All things work together for good to them that love God."
Romans 8:28
It's weird. Ateneo Law school exam's tomorrow and this devo comes up. Haha. I'm not even thinking about the exam, and I know God will pull me through. A lot has been happening, and this verse has always reminded me that He is in control. This is kind of like my life verse. Every time someone asks me for a verse, this is what i give.
Rj just told me that he's having some technical difficulties at home. That means less time to finish the website and more time to worry. There'll be a scheduled brown-out in their place in 10 minutes because Meralco has to fix some wires. Also, people from the promos team are getting sick. Not just because of anxiety, but also because of school and other things that cause stress. There's so much to do (don't get me wrong, we LOVE doing this) but we can't seem to find time to finish all of them.
